NAVICE Begins ISO Certification Journey!
We proudly announce that Navice Oy has officially begun preparations for ISO certification, in line with USPH standards.
Our goal is to certify the company under the following key ISO standards:
ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems
ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management
ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems
This certification marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality turnkey solutions for the maritime industry, particularly in catering areas for cruise ships.
We’ve already started working on our Integrated Management System (IMS) and are excited to take the next step in improving our operations. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress!

We are excited to announce our partnership with Hermetel Oy, a specialist in highly insulated, hygienic clean rooms, cold storage, and freezer solutions.
Through this collaboration, we will utilize Hermetel’s polyurethane-based panels for walls, ceilings, floors, and doors in our turnkey catering area solutions on cruise ships.
This partnership enables us to provide enhanced insulation, hygiene, and durability, ensuring our catering areas meet the highest standards for safety and efficiency.

NAVICE Welcomes Design and Engineering Manager Kimmo Irto to join our Team!!!
We are thrilled to announce that Kimmo Irto has joined Navice Oy as our new Design and Engineering Manager, bringing with him the team of experienced designers from Drafthause Oy. With a wealth of expertise in cruise ship design, particularly in catering areas, Kimmo’s team will significantly enhance our capabilities as a turnkey supplier in this space.
Kimmo’s decades of experience include designing public spaces such as restaurants, suites, and spa departments, with a particular focus on catering areas for the cruise ship industry. His team’s deep understanding of manufacturing constraints in the carpentry and metal industries ensures that we can deliver both innovative designs and practical, cost-effective solutions for our maritime clients.
From working drawings tailored to efficient construction methods to 3D modeling services for complex spaces, Kimmo and his team bring the technical know-how needed to ensure fast, high-quality project delivery.

JANUARY 2024: We Are Entering Into An Exciting New Era
Announcement of new Managing Director
Our Executive Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ari TOIVOLA as our new Managing Director of NAVICE Oy. As Managing Director, Ari is stepping up to lead us into an exciting new era.
Ari’s journey in shipbuilding began in the early 80th as an installer of ship interiors, fastly growing to supervisor, site/project/department manager. Ari has more than 30 years of experience connected to ship interior areas like galleys, pantries, provision stores, laundry and cabin areas, restaurants, bars, staircases, wheelhouses, air-conditioning rooms, crew and public areas, etc. His passion, leadership, and profound understanding of shipbuilding led him to become the Managing Director with the ability to improve business and build a strong basement for future growth. Known for his deep humanity and extensive experience in managing multicultural teams, Ari is a natural leader ready to steer our ship.
He succeeds Jani SORTTI, the founder and historical Managing Director of NAVICE. Jani will continue to serve as a Board Member, focusing on managing our new business segment development. Jani expressed his confidence in Ari: “I am proud to see Ari stepping up. His leadership will ensure a natural continuity and drive NAVICE to even greater heights.”
Ari will be supported in this new adventure by both founders of NAVICE, Mika KARHU and Jani SORTTI. All have worked together for many years and are excited to join one team.
